Shauna Church is an Artist Photographer, whose work is in interactive narrative form, as installations or book projects, using both analog and digital media.
Her work is internationally published and exhibited and has received numerous grants and awards.
As a faculty/staff member at The International Center of Photography starting in 1989, and founding director of the ICP Digital Media Program in 1996, Shauna taught both darkroom and digital in the Continuing Education and Full Time Programs, and managed the Digital Program and Lab.
As adjunct faculty at NYU, School of Visual Arts, The New School University, and Parsons School of Design, she taught both darkroom and digital in the BFA, MFA and Continuing Education Programs. Shauna has also taught summer workshops at Maine Photographic Workshops and Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
Shauna's background as a Cibachrome, C-print, BW Printer, ICP Darkroom Manager, Schnoodle Studio Manager, Multimedia Designer, Founding Director of the ICP Digital Media Program, and the Director of Pointlight Digital represents the breadth of her professional experience.
Since 1990, Shauna has worked with fashion, editorial, and fine-art photographers in NYC, seeking advice on portfolio editing & sequencing, image visualization, archival inkjet printing, photo retouching and compositing techniques for photographers. Her strength lies in her ability to guide in both concept and technique, and her talent lies in creative problem solving for both print and installation projects.
